The Famous Poet, William Shakespeare - 439 Words

Have you ever wrote a 14 line poem with a strict rhyme scheme? Ok try writing 154 of them like William Shakespeare. A man named William shakespeare was one of the most famous poets. He had no real birth records but church records say he was baptized on April 26th and it is important to be baptized within a couple days after birth. The assumed birthday is of Shakespeare is april 23rd. He lived in Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire. As a child William had a father as a glove maker and merchant. His mother was an heiress. He also had 4 sisters and 3 brothers. The first born girl was Joan who only live for 2 months. His other sisters were Margaret Joan( named after the first born) and Anne. His brothers names are Edmund, Richard and Gilbert. His father was John Shakespeare and his mother is Mary Shakespeare. William also had a fish which is a axolotl or a mexican walking fish. As a child William Shakespeare attended The Stratford Grammar school. This is where he got his play writing ed ucation. The king soon signed a charter saying that the school now be known as Kings New School of Stratford-upon-Avon. During the years that Shakespeare attended the school, at least one and possibly three headmasters stepped down because of their devotion to the Catholic religion.
